Announcing First-ever LFS Signature Fundraising Event

Sarah Tollestrup and Mitch Arsenault of the Tollestrup Group discuss the magical happenings planned at the first-ever Spring to Light Benefit Gala.

LFS is excited to announce that we are holding our first-ever signature fundraising event on Friday, April 25, 2025, chaired by local business leaders Sarah Tollestrup and Mitch Arsenault. In honour of the season and the symbol of renewal, the gala is titled Spring to Light. Sandra Mintz, CEO of Lethbridge Family Services explains that spring is “a season where we approach mental health and wellness with a renewed sense of hope and lightness.” To that end, proceeds from this gala will support mental health and wellness programming for clients in our DaCapo Disability Services Department and a mental health and wellness navigator for families and individuals in our Immigrant Services Department.

The Spring to Light Benefit Gala special guest, Rick Mercer!

Event Vision

The reception will be a spectacular event opener as attendees enter the Agri-food Hub’s grand foyer adorned with a sparkly spring forest amid a local group of dancers from Danceworks Dance Academy accompanied by a Lethbridge harpist and cellist. Champagne and beverages will be served as guests walk by projected visuals on the walls depicting scenes from people’s lives—happy, poignant, and memorable.

Greeters will guide guests inside the festive spring salon with the HBO3 jazz trio playing in the background, appetizer stations, free photo booths, the Tompkins Jewelers Mystery Box Fundraiser, and silent and live auction offerings that will tantalize.

After dinner, Canadian celebrity Rick Mercer will share his captivating stories, followed by a Q&A.
